Blueberry picking in Central PA, via canoe

I'm giving away one of my best tips here -- if you want to pick blueberries in Central Pennsylvania, you're going to need a canoe to get the best berries from the branches that overhang the water (fewer birds eating them, no deer, and no bears). My lil' niece Vivien (not actually my niece, but she calls me ton-ton-Steve so I semi-qualify) learned these valuable blueberry lessons last weekend:

My buddy and mentor Scott Cohen knows the ins-and-outs of NYC food shopping as well as anyone... On Friday, we went to three markets in a row: Union Square Market, Titan Foods (Greek) in Queens, and to several spots on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Then we headed up to Westchester where he cooked it all over the next three days!

First trip to the "new" Yankees Stadium

My friend Madeline Cohen brought me to see the Yankees play the As -- and we arrived early to tour the Monuments in Center Field as well as the Yankee Museum (both are worth the time & effort). Awesome afternoon at the ballyard!
