I'm giving away one of my best tips here -- if you want to pick blueberries in Central Pennsylvania, you're going to need a canoe to get the best berries from the branches that overhang the water (fewer birds eating them, no deer, and no bears). My lil' niece Vivien (not actually my niece, but she calls me ton-ton-Steve so I semi-qualify) learned these valuable blueberry lessons last weekend:
